German SME offers cuttings from five different poplar varities suitable for energy production and in biotech processes

A German innovative biotech SME has developed five new poplar tree varieties showing enhanced growth and up to 100% increase in biomass production. This allows faster wood production on short rotation coppices (SRC) suitable for energy production as well as generation of lignocellulosic mono-sugars for use in fermentation and biotech processes. They look for business partners from mentioned fields for financial/joint venture agreements to fully exploit the potential of these tree varieties.
